Animo’s ComBi line wins Red Dot Award

Coffee equipment and vending systems manufacturer Animo has received a Red Dot Award for the design of its ComBi line. The line brews large quantities of fresh filter coffee in a short period of time and is suitable for use in such environments as hotels, theatres, care homes, offices or meeting rooms. A ComBi line setup has a brewing unit in combination with one or two containers and the largest combination has a capacity of up to 160 litres per hour. In a judging process spanning several days, 40 experts evaluated more than 6300 objects provided by agencies, designers and companies representing some 59 participating countries. The criteria on which Red Dot Awards are assessed include level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability. “Good taste isn't just about coffee,” said Animo Managing Director Reinder Schortinghuis. “The design of our products plays a crucial role in the development process. To win this award is a positive confirmation of our ambition – creating stylish coffee machines that are easy to use, durable, and above all meet the demands of our customers.”
