Animo’s OptiBean Touch machine has been nominated for the German Design Award 2019 in the Excellent Product Design category. In February 2018, the OptiBean Touch won over a 63-member jury, made up of independent experts from the world over to win the iF Design Award with its clean design lines and high-quality finish. More than 6400 entries were submitted from 54 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality. Now, the fully automatic coffee machine manufacturer says it's honoured to be recognised for yet another design-based award. “Being nominated for the German Design Award 2019 is a tremendous accomplishment by the creative team at Animo,” says Animo Managing Director Reinder Schortinghuis. “The German Design Council is recognised as a worldwide leader in design and it is a great honor to be nominated for this year’s competition.” The German Design Award is the top international prize of the German Design Council with the goal to discover, present and honour unique design trends. Each year, top-quality entries from product and communication design are rewarded, all of which are in their own way ground-breaking in the international design landscape.
As such, Animo's newest generation of intelligent espresso coffee machines comes with an easy-to-use touchscreen and intuitive user interface. The OptiBean Touch combines high quality coffee with usability and a distinctive design. The materials and construction are durable and the OptiBean Touch is energy-efficient with an A+ rating. Animo has been making premium-quality coffee equipment and vending systems in over 60 years in more than 75 countries worldwide. Its machines deliver a wide range of fresh, hot beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte and macchiato to tea, hot chocolate and instant soup.
