The first ever edition of the Berlin Coffee Festival will play host to the Barista Jam – an opportunity for 16 of the city’s top baristas to show off their skills. The Barista Jam competition will take place on day one of the festival, which runs from 2-4 September. Four-time Irish barista champion Colin Harmon will present a lecture on day two of the festival about the influence of the temperature in the phase of the grinding and new systems of control the extraction. And on Sunday 4 September the Victoria Arduino stand will host 2009 World Barista Champion, Gwilym Davies along with a host of other baristas and roasters for a day full of meetings and practical tests with their espresso coffee machines and grinders.
