Roaster and green coffee marketplace Bellwether Coffee has launched a new six-part podcast series called New Wave Coffee which provides listeners with an unfiltered look at conversations around the future of coffee.
“The show is aimed at those interested in breaking into the world of coffee or those simply interested in learning about the future of coffee sustainability,” says Bellwether Coffee.
Hosted by Arno Holschuh, Chief Coffee Officer at Bellwether Coffee and Liz Pachaud, Product Marketing Manager at Bellwether Coffee, the podcast will explore some off the most pressing issues in the coffee industry such as flavour, technology, price, climate change, and more.
The first episode, titled ‘The Future of Flavor’ was released on 5 October, that focuses on coffee flavour and is described as “part coffee history, part food anthropology, and part data science”.
The podcast will include industry experts, with scheduled guests including Marianella Baez Jost, Founder of Farmers Project Costa Rica, Kim Elena Ionescu, Chief Sustainability and Knowledge Development Officer at the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), Camilo Enciso Suarez, Director of ASOPEP, Peter Giuliano, Executive Director at Coffee Science Foundation and Chief Research Officer at SCA, and more.
