The Brazilian Government is increasing the minimum price of Robusta coffee, according to P&A Marketing. Following demands from growers of Espírito Santo State, the minimum price of Robusta will go up from US$70.50 to US $81.50 per 60-kilogram bag. The 15.5 per cent increase makes the minimum price equivalent to about US $1350 per ton. P&A said the decision to adjust the minimum price, made by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, was based on a study conducted by Conab, an official company of the Federal Government.
