Deniz Kosan’s Breaking Bad themed café in Istanbul, Turkey has become somewhat of an Internet sensation. Despite opening four months ago, the coffee shop honoring Walter White is now trending, following a feature on Buzzfeed this week. Walter’s Coffee Roastery’s baristas are suited-up in yellow jump suits, its walls are decorated with periodic tables and Walter White Jr. inspired pancakes feature on the menu, along with suspicious looking bags of blue candy. Speaking to Buzzfeed, Kosan said the idea for Walter’s Coffee Roastery had started off as a joke between him and his cousin. A successful kickstarter campaign allowed Kosan to fund the project, which he had originally planned to open in the United States. The German-born photographer said that when a key investor backed out, the decision was made to open up in Turkey. Walter’s Coffee Roastery currently boasts 14 000 Facebook likes and 13 500 Instagram followers. Images courtesy of Walter’s Coffee Roastery's Instagram.
