Bruno Dalla Corte, Founder of Italian espresso machine manufacturing company Dalla Corte and engineer behind La Spaziale, passed away on 13 December at the age of 85. Bruno was born in Novara in 1929. He worked as a radio technician after the Second World War, before being employed as a technician at Cimbali. He then worked at Faema, where he helped reoganise the workshop and open branches all over Italy. He founded his own company Officine ABA where he designed the La Spaziale machine, equipped with new double water circuit system steam boiler and group technology. Bruno and his son Paolo founded Dalla Corte as their own company in 2001, introducing multi-boiler technology. Today, Dalla Corte machines are sold in over 50 markets around the world. Bruno kept an active role with Dalla Corte, taking part in every dc campus and at Host 2013. Bruno is remembered by his two children Paola and Elsa, and his grandchildren Valentina, Pietro, Kenyi and Freddy.
