Café Marcala will host its first virtual Do Marcala Specialty Coffee Auction on 12 August, highlighting 36 of Honduras’ finest nano and micro lots.
Auction organisers says each coffee has been Q-graded and certified with scores of 86 more. The lots are being stored and monitored for top quality assurance.
“About 20 years ago we were involved in the world of coffee with my husband advised by my father. A few years ago I began receiving training in many processes, associating with groups of producers or others related to this area and I even decided to associate myself with the Do Marcala coffee and participate in its events as a producer of excellent coffee,” says Liliam Elizabeth Argueta Mejia, one of the auction’s producers.
Participants must register prior to the auction via www.docafemarcala.com
Once registered, each certified buyer can select up to five different samples, to be shipped to their current business address. Additional numbers of samples can be arranged.
Information about all involved producers, lot’s profiles, and states, are available 24/7 to all certified buyers via the platform.
The website also features “trial runs” and tutorials of the auction interface.
Fulfilment and shipping of winning bids will be arrange based on the buyer’s request, by the Do Marcala and a certified local coffee exporting firm.
