Italian secondary-packaging machine manufacturer CAMA Group has successfully displayed its Wrap Around machine at IPACK-IMA Milan.
The integration of the three latest-generation CAMA RB 003 robots is said to have enhanced the system’s performance and flexibility while maintaining compactness in use and line layout.
The introduction of Automatic Carton Loading (ACL) has further enhanced the technology, with the line now equipped with a collaborative robot for loading box blanks onto two different box magazines, which the team at Cama says makes the technology even easier for line operators to use.
The labelled products are then transported and sorted into the desired pack before entering the case packer, where vertical dividers can be added if required. The whole pack is then pushed is into a pre-packed wraparound box.
After loading, the boxes are transferred to a flap-folding station and sealed closed with hot-melt glue before being transported to the machine out-feed.
IPACK-IMA 2025 was held at the Fiera Milano between 27 to 30 May and featured some of the world’s largest processing and packaging companies. The event focused on four main target markets of grain-based food, beverage, pharma and technology, and the food fresh and convenience sector.
