Caribou Coffee is offering free coffee for a year to the first 50 guests at the opening of its new store in Minneapolis, United States on 9 July. “Caribou’s original corporate headquarters was in the North Loop (Minneapolis) and we’re happy to be back in the neighbourhood creating jobs and providing another community space here,” said Megan Fraboni, Public Relations Manager at Caribou Coffee, in a statement. Caribou’s newest location will occupy nearly 2400 square feet in Target Field Train Station, which opened in May 2014. The station was developed with a public-private partnership, and comprises Hennepin County, the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, United Properties, Target and Metro Transit. “The Twins and United Properties are thrilled to see Caribou Coffee open in what will grow into a robust retail and commercial space at Target Field Station and illustrates what a public-private partnership can do when all parties work together,” said Kevin Smith, Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, in the statement. The grand opening celebration will include giveaways throughout the day such as Twins Baseball tickets, Caribou merchandise and Minnesota Gopher tickets.
