It seems that not a week goes by without another study telling us about the risks or benefits that drinking coffee poses to our health. However, according to a new study from the Ulster University in the UK, the net result of all of those studies seems to show that coffee is, in fact, good for you. The team at Ulster reviewed 1277 studies that examined coffee’s effect on people’s health. The team found that, on balance there are more benefits than risks from drinking a moderate amount of coffee, which is about three to four cups per day. The findings were published in the journal Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety.
