DaVinci Gourmet’s America’s Best Coffeehouse finals will be held at Coffee Fest, in Portland, Oregon on 17 – 19 October. “America’s Best Coffeehouse is a major competition that allows for coffeehouses around the country to receive invaluable insight into their establishment,” said David Heilbrunn, Show Manager of Coffee Fest, in a statement. Coffee Fest, a tradeshow for specialty coffee since 1992, will showcase six regional winners from three regions of North America. The regional champions will compete for the top prize of $10,000 and the title of America’s Best Coffeehouse of 2014. “The unique dynamics of this competition has brought forth polished competitors and we know the finals will be fierce,” said Heilbrunn. Finalists from the eastern region include Peregrine Espresso from Washington D.C. and Café Grumpy from New York. Cafés and coffeehouses from the central region include Palace Coffee Company from Canyon, Texas Stat and Ipsento from Chicago, Illinois. The top three from the Western region include Klatch Coffee from Upland, California and Slate Coffee Roasters from Seattle, Washington.
