Cometeer Coffee will release its new Stellar Series on 1 October, showcasing a range of high-quality coffees that score among the top three in their countries.
United States-based coffee technology company Cometeer uses a flash-freeze method to create coffee capsules that retain high levels of flavour. Users only need to add hot water to the capsules to produce a freshly brewed coffee.
The limited-edition Stellar Series is released annually and features coffees from producers that have won the Cup of Excellence award that year. The coffees represent some of the highest-quality coffee in the industry.
For the 2024 Stellar Series, Cometeer Coffee is partnering with Hacienda La Esmeralda in the Panamanian Highlands. Known for establishing the celebrated Geisha coffee varietal, Hacienda La Esmeralda has been a family-operated coffee farm since 1967. Today, it works to optimise its cultivation, fermentation, and drying techniques to maximise the Geisha coffee’s qualities.
Founded by Matt Robets in 2015, Cometeer Coffee regularly collaborates with industry-leading farms and producers to showcase rare and interesting coffees via its flash-freeze method. According to the company, its water chemistry and extraction recipe is optimised to extract maximum flavour. Liquid nitrogen is used to lock in the aromatic complexity of a freshly brewed cup until the moment it’s mixed with hot water to be enjoyed.
