Dalla Corte is planning to build an espresso machine a day at its Sigep booth in Italy 17 – 21 January 2015. The company is constructing a miniature factory where they will assemble a super mini espresso machine in front of visitors. Sigep attendees can then purchase the machine they’ve watched being made as the machine, which is based on the same technology as the larger machines, will immediately go on sale at their stand. Dalla Corte is also using the gelato and confectionary exhibition to launch its new evo2 Blackboard edition espresso machine. The body of the evo2 Blackboard edition has been specially treated to allow it to be used as a chalkboard. The espresso machine is available in two, three and four group versions. It has the ability to dialogue with the dc one coffee grinder and, in the event that the preset parameters are not met, to adjust coffee grind and dose automatically. Sigep visitors will have the chance to watch the Italian finalists working the dc pro in the Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits competitions held on the Sunday and Monday of the event. The winners of these two events will then represent Italy in the finals at the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe’s World of Coffee Event in Gothenburg, Sweden 16 – 18 June.
