Dunkin’ Brands Group, the parent company of Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins, has entered preliminary discussions to be acquired by Inspire Brands.
The privately owned Inspire Brands has made an offer worth US$9 billion, reports the Financial Times. The deal would see Dunkin’ Brands Group delisted from the stock market
Dunkin’ says there is no certainty that any agreement will be reached and the company will not comment further unless and until a transaction is agreed or discussions are terminated.
Inspire Brands owns several American food chains, including Arby’s, Jimmy John’s, and Sonic.
