Electrolux Professional has announced its acquisition of French coffee machine manufacturer Unic. The global foodservice company says the acquisition is part or its strategy to increase its leadership in the hospitality industry and offer complete solutions. “We are pleased to announce that Unic [has] become a part of the Electrolux Group joining its Professional division and [will be] the reference platform for [its] coffee espresso product line,” Unic CEO Jean-Pierre says. “Through Electrolux's global platform and network, we will be able to expand our product offering and accelerate our international growth within the coffee espresso segment, a significant and fast-growing part of the foodservice business. “We share and embrace Electrolux Professional's strategy for growth and are excited to contribute to the OnE platform concept by offering quality, experience and comprehensive technology in coffee equipment within the hospitality sector.” Unic has more than 100 years of experience designing and manufacturing espresso coffee machines. The company’s product range includes the super automatic Tango ST-STP, multi boilers Stella Epic and Stella di Caffé, and traditional Aaura and Mira lines, as well as solutions for professional use of portioned coffee pods and capsules. Electrolux Professional offers food service, beverage, and laundry solutions for professional uses worldwide. The Electrolux Group portfolio also includes Electrolux, Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft, Anova, and Zanussi.
