The Cup of Excellence (CoE) organisation has announced that Darrin Daniel has resigned from his role as Executive Director.
Darrin Daniel had been with CoE and its sister association the Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) for over six years, leading both through a period of significant growth and expansion.
During his tenure, the organisations have achieved record competition sales, entered major new markets, including Ethiopia and Indonesia, launched a new platform for Private Collection Auctions, and strengthened reputations as some of the most impactful and influential organisations in the specialty coffee sector.
According to CoE, Daniel’s dedication, passion and leadership have been instrumental in establishing CoE as the gold standard for coffee quality competitions.
“It has been an honour to serve as your Executive Director for the past six years. I am very proud of all the work we have done together to promote excellence in coffee and support farmers and roasters around the world,” Daniel says.
Daniel also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a talented team and for the generosity of the global coffee community.
CoE and ACE will begin a search for a new Executive Director in the coming weeks. In the meantime, day to day operations will continue to be overseen by the organisations’ dedicated team.
CoE and ACE, as well as their members, partners, and network of producers thank Daniel for his years of service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
