The Siberian-based coffee chain, Traveler’s Coffee has recruited American executive Dean Torrenga to help it realise its aim of growing from 75 stores to 500 in the next five years. Before making this move, Torrenga held senior executive positions with Starbucks and Caribou Coffee in the US. Traveler’s Coffee’s founder, Christopher Tara-Brown, said that this is a time of expansion for the company. “We’ve opened 55 franchisee coffeehouses in past few years,” he said in a statement. “Our main strategy in Russia is development on local markets.” Traveller’s Coffee currently has a presence in three countries across Europe, as well as Russia and China.
