Grupo Nutresa of Colombia has acquired Cameron’s Coffee of the United States on 18 September for $US113 million.
Cameron’s Coffee operates primarily in the Midwest market and is based in Shakopee, Minnesota. Sales for the last 12 months amount to $US72 million.
“This acquisition is a new step in Grupo Nutresa’s internationalisation process and is aligned with our objective of improving the quality of life of consumers through conscious brands, affordable products and innovative, differentiated value propositions,” says Grupo Nutresa CEO Carlos Ignacio Gallego.
Grupo Nutresa, based in Medellin, began expanding internationally in 2004 and now markets approximately 70 brands in 65 countries.
Cameron’s Coffee was previously part Goldner Hawn’s portfolio, a private equity fund also based in Minnesota.
