Italian domestic appliance producer Gruppo Smeg has announced the acquisition of espresso machine manufacturer La Pavoni.
Founded in 1905 and based in Milan, La Pavoni produces espresso machines for the “high-end market sector”. Smeg says the brand leverages the quality of its products and its refined aesthetic.
“It is a philosophy that the company continues to pursue to this day and that will create synergies that will enrich both companies,” Smeg says in an official release.
The group says the acquisition will allow the two companies to share their knowledge and mutual affinities for their product lines, paying attention to design and details while affirming the quality of “Made in Italy” products.
