Juan Valdez expands in the Middle East

JUAN VALDEZ

After hard work and with the clear objective of continuing to expand the brand internationally, Juan Valdez has officially opened new cafés in Turkey and Qatar.

To Juan Valdez, this represents a unique opportunity to continue honouring the work of the more than 540,000 coffee-growing families in Colombia, taking its 100 per cent Colombian premium coffee to more corners of the world.

“Operating in these markets is the materialisation of the brand effort and great teamwork with our franchisees Honest Holding in Turkey and Ali Bin Ali Holding in Qatar,” says Sebastián Mejía, International Vice President of Juan Valdez.

“Likewise, achieving this milestone is an immense pride for Juan Valdez and for Colombia, since it allows us to continue making our country’s coffee experience and tradition visible in different cultures around the world.”

These two stores, located in the Middle East and North Africa region, have the support and experience of some of the brand’s Colombian culturists, who were part of the opening process and will be contributing their knowledge to deliver the best experience to local consumers.

“We are happy to bring Juan Valdez’s premium 100 per cent Colombian coffee to Turkey. We have a very ambitious expansion plan for the region, and we believe that our omnichannel strategy will be decisive in increasing the brand’s position in the country,” says Honest Holding’s Franchisee Cengiz Deveci.

The Juan Valdez stores in Qatar and Turkey, located in Doha and Istanbul respectively, will be decisive for the development of the company’s international expansion strategy, strengthening the presence of the Colombian coffee growers’ brand in the Middle East.

Juan Valdez continues to represent the Colombian countryside and remains committed to raising the name of the national territory worldwide through coffee and unparalleled experience.
