Keurig Dr Pepper and Keurig Trading have celebrated the opening of KDP Brasil Global Sourcing, a new office located in the Varginha region of Brazil.

KDP Brasil Global Sourcing will act as a centre of excellence for buying, logistics, risk management and quality within Keurig Dr Pepper’s coffee supply chain. Executives from KDP and Keurig Trading were joined by local Brazilian green coffee suppliers, coffee supply chain partners and industry representatives to mark the occasion.

“Our presence in the heart of the biggest coffee producing area of the world is a key milestone in our journey to build a more resilient and transparent coffee supply chain,” says Cyrille Jannet, VP Coffee Sourcing, Managing Director at Keurig Trading.

“This best-in-class facility gives us the opportunity to engage directly with the Brazilian coffee community and our green coffee vendors, which ultimately helps us deliver the quality and service we owe to our partners and customers.”

KDP Brasil Global Sourcing will provide local assistance for coffee suppliers, including relationship management and logistical support. It will also serve as a quality hub through testing and quality control, assurance and compliance activities and educational events and trainings. In addition, the office will support Keurig Dr Pepper’s responsible sourcing, market intelligence and governance and reporting efforts.

Since 2003, Keurig Dr Pepper has invested more than $72 million in coffee projects around the globe. By establishing an office in the largest coffee producing country in the world, Keurig Dr Pepper continues its long legacy in coffee and can leverage local expertise and provide on-the-ground support to continue delivering a great cup of high-quality coffee.
