Keurig Green Mountain has announced that Peter Leemputte will join the company in June, assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective 17 August 2015. Leemputte will succeed current Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Fran Rathke, who will continue to serve in the role until that date. Rathke will then become Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and will remain with the company until September 2015. Leemputte has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer of Mead Johnson Nutrition Company from 2008 to March 2015. Earlier this month Keurig reported top-line growth below expectations for second quarter 2015, which it said was primarily due to a slower than expected sales of the latest Keurig 2.0 system. Keurig reported a 23 per cent decline in brewer and accessory net sales compared to the prior year period. For the quarter, a total 1.4 million Keurig system brewers were sold.
