World Coffee Events (WCE) is set to bring two world championship events to feature at the Café and Bakery Fair from 1 – 4 November at KINTEX.
The two competitions will share one stage (31 metres x 34 metres) over the four-day show, open for both business and consumer audiences.
In addition to competition stage, WCE announced that there will be feature areas on-site to provide the audience with a more engaging experience; the Art Bar, the Espresso Bar, the Brew Bar and WCE merchandise shop.
The Espresso and Brew Bar areas will feature a coffee bar service that provides learning and sensory experiences for show attendees. The bars will serve coffee from renowned specialty micro-coffee roasters from USA, Sweden, Taiwan and Korea. The bar service will be managed by barista volunteers from around the world.
In another feature area, WCE said that Maeil will host a “Caffe Latte Contest”. This contest, separate from the two championships, will allow baristas a chance to pour latte art with the audience voting for the best art. The contest winner's art will be featured on a limited run of Caffe Latte product containers, where a portion of sales proceeds will go to charity. Support from international and national companies for the two championships come include Dalla Corte, Mahlkoenig, Urnex/Puro, Everpure, D'Ancap, Caffe Bene, and Grand Marnier.
