Krispy Kreme has been recognised as the Brand of the Year in the Coffee and Quick Service Restaurant category according to the 2015 Harris Poll EquiTrend study. “We are humbled by this honour and thank our loyal customers for making Krispy Kreme the highest ranked coffee and quick service restaurant brand,” said Tony Thompson, Krispy Kreme President and CEO, in a statement. “This study offers strong evidence that the Krispy Kreme brand continues to be well-regarded by American consumers.” The Harris Poll EquiTrend study, conducted by Harris Interactive, reveals the brands that Americans rank highest in brand equity. Surveying more than 38,000 American consumers, the study measures the level of quality, familiarity, and purchase consideration for each brand. It then awards Brand of the Year status to the top-ranked brand from each category. Krispy Kreme received the highest Equity Score among eight other coffee and quick service restaurant brands. Since it was founded in 1937, Krispy Kreme has established more than 1000 retail shops in 24 countries. Its headquarters is in North Carolina, United States.
