La Marzocco Managing Partner Joe Monaghan bade farewell at La Marzocco United States’ annual barbecue in Seattle this month in August. Monaghan established La Marzocco USA 10 years ago, though he was the company for 30 years prior. The Italian espresso machine manufacturer says over four decades, Monaghan’s strategic contributions demonstrated his passion for La Marzocco and the field of espresso coffee. “His role was key in the growth of machine sales and quality coffee throughout North America and internationally,” La Marzocco says in a public statement. “Joe was behind the inimitable idea to build the La Marzocco Café in close collaboration with KEXP in Seattle, which has been beneficial to the La Marzocco brand, culture and heritage. In addition to bringing the company’s soul to the heart of the specialty coffee scene in the US, the café has contributed to educating consumers on quality coffee.” Follow Global Coffee Report on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter for up-to-date news and analysis of the global coffee industry.
