Lavazza Group, Ducasse Paris launch new speciality coffee range and brand

Lavazza Alain Ducasse

Three years after the opening of La Manufacture de Café Alain Ducasse in France, the Lavazza Group and multi-starred chef Alain Ducasse have presented a range of seven fine specialty coffee beans.

Lavazza says the partnership was built based on common values: know-how, quality, and tradition.

The collaboration between Alain Ducasse and Giuseppe Lavazza, Vice-President of the Lavazza Group, began in 2018, starting from these common values as well as entrepreneurship, all linking the history of the two companies.

Giuseppe Lavazza says it is an honour to bring the two brands together with the new range, titled Le Café Alain Ducasse avec 1895 by Lavazza.

“Alain Ducasse is admired worldwide for his universe of tastes, his pioneering and contemporary vision of classic French cuisine,” he says.

“The attention to know-how and quality is a value we share with this craftsman of good living and good food.”

The partnership has led to the creation of a joint venture in a dozen countries. Lavazza says it has become reality through the unique launch that brings these two internationally renowned brands together.

Alain Ducasse and Giuseppe Lavazza have released seven coffee bean flavours, each with a different selection of ingredients.

Lavazza says the partnership employs technical specifications and strict controls to ensure that all the criteria of the two brands are met.

Furthermore, each step of coffee production, from the selection of the coffee beans to roasting and the blending of the beans, is driven by its quest for artisanal excellence.

Veda Viraswami, coffee roaster at La Manufacture de Café oversees all the steps with his counterpart Cristiano Portis from the Lavazza Group.
