Grinder manufacturer Mahlkönig’s Hamburg site has started to operate under the new corporate name Hemro Manufacturing Germany. Its Hamburg grinding discs production facility will also trade under this name. “This step is an important milestone for the development of the Hemro Group’s global company structure, as the unified naming of the production, sales and service branches contribute to a further enhanced service quality and performance capability,” Hemro says in a press release. “The close collaboration among the members of the group has led to a variety of major improvements within the sales and service organization. “The synergy effects have contributed to new pioneering coffee grinding innovations that set today’s benchmarks within functionality and premium grinding.” Hemro was formed in 1999, when Mahlkönig teamed up with Swiss rival Ditting to perfect and market its grind-on-demand technology. The group acquired Italian grinder manufacturer Anfim in 2013 and rounded out its offerings when it brought the Chinese grinder manufacturer HeyCafé on to its team in 2016.
