Massimo Zannetti Beverage Group has acquired Brazilian coffee company Café Pacaembu on 14 October.
“Brazil is an interesting market. It is the world’s largest producer and exporter of coffee and the second largest consumer market in the world, with high growth rates,” says Massimo Zanetti, Chairman and CEO of Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group.
Café Pacaembu was founded in Sao Paolo in 1957 and is a major producer of ground coffee in Brazil. The current management team and founder will continue to lead the company following the acquisition.
“The acquisition of Café Pacaembu which, with over 60 years of history represents the traditional coffee of Brazil, will allow our group to seize growth opportunities in Brazil,” Zanetti says.
Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group produces, processes and markets roasted coffee to about 110 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
