The 2021 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE2021) will return to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 11 September.
Embracing the theme ‘Back to Business’, MICE2021 will provide a platform for the return to important face-to-face interaction, business, and connection to the coffee industry.
“COVID-19 has cast a heavy shadow over 2020 for many people, but 2021 is already looking to be a better and brighter year,” says Show Director Lauren Winterbottom.
“Face-to-face trade expos and interaction will be more important than ever as the industry seeks a return to normality and the sense of connection lost over an occasional Zoom call.”
The industry is already getting behind MICE2021, with exhibition space nearly sold out.
“People will need to get in quick to secure their space,” Winterbottom says.
“As much as we aim to support the industry, MICE couldn’t happen if the community didn’t support us back, especially our sponsors – St Ali, Freedom Foods, Espresso Mechanics, and Cafetto – who stood by us through COVID-19.”
MICE2021 will see the return of several of its most popular features and attractions, including Roasters and Origin Alley, the Product innovation Awards, and Melbourne Coffee Week.
“We’ve been humbled to see the volume of returning exhibitors and are excited by the prospect of new business also,” Event Director Simon Coburn says.
“It’s quite clear that MICE is an event the industry knows and loves. It’s time to get back to business, strengthen relationships and support the industry in this new ‘COVID world’.”
MICE is Australia’s largest and most exciting dedicated coffee event. Established back in 2012, MICE launched as a place for the coffee community to facilitate business under the one roof, and showcase the best of Australia’s contribution to the global coffee industry.
The event regularly attracts more than 11,000 attendees, connecting café owners, roasters, equipment manufacturers, service suppliers, and more.
“MICE began first and foremost to bring people in coffee together, and I look forward to doing that once again in September,” Winterbottom says.
