The 2020 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) is filling up fast, with more than 40 per cent of exhibition space sold just one month after MICE2019. Now in its ninth edition, MICE2020 will be held at the Melbourne International Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 4 to 7 May. “Since MICE launched in 2012, we’ve seen it grow to become the Southern Hemisphere’s leading coffee-dedicated event,” MICE Show Director Simon Coburn says. “With such a positive early response, we’re excited to continue this growth in 2020.” MICE2020 will see exhibitors display the latest coffee trends, products, and technology. It will also host the 2020 World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup, bringing an extra layer of international interest to the event. “We can’t wait to welcome the global coffee community to Melbourne,” Simon says. “Australia is a renowned coffee destination, and now we’ll get to present our sophisticated coffee culture to a global audience. If our coffee culture wasn’t already on the world map, it will be after we host the World Coffee Championships.” More than 145 exhibitors took part in MICE2019, held from 7 to 9 February at MCEC. MICE2020 will increase its floorspace to accommodate more exhibitors as well as the World Coffee Championships. This year’s event saw nearly 12,000 café owners, roasters, suppliers, and coffee enthusiasts attend the expo. “We’re proud of the calibre of exhibitors and how much excitement and joy MICE2019 has brought to the wider coffee community,” Simon says. “It’s easy to see why Melbourne is regarded as one of the most progressive and dynamic coffee cities in the world.” For more information, visit www.internationalcoffeeexpo.com/exhibitors/
