The organiser of Asia’s largest coffee industry event, Seoul International Café Show, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the International Coffee Organization (ICO) to cooperate on the sustainable development of the global coffee industry. Exporum was invited to the ICO assembly held in London, to give a presentation about the Korea coffee market to delegates from some 90 countries. The MOU recognises the importance of South Korea as a leader in the fastest growing coffee consuming region in the world. The Seoul International Coffee Show is the largest dedicated coffee industry event in Asia. In 2013, the event attracted approximately 430 exhibitors from 34 countries as well as 100,000 visitors from 63 countries. Its major concurrent event, the World Coffee Leaders Forum gathered global scholars and leaders from 34 countries last year, to discuss the major pending issues of global coffee industry and seek resolutions.
