The National Coffee Association (NCA) has scheduled two in-depth webinars for the month of May, drawing on the knowledge of experts to examine two of the most pressing issues facing the coffee industry. On 16 May the NCA will run a session titled Coffee Outlook in 2016: …Is This The New Normal? In this webinar, presenters Ross Colbert and Carlos Mera of Rabobank will present on global supply and demand outlook for 2016 and an update on North American consumer trends.
Colbert and Mara will take an in-depth look at Brazil and other key coffee producing regions; comment on crop yields, global supply risk and price outlook; and give an update on changing consumption trends, single-cup penetration & the future for third wave coffee roasters. The second webinar, to be held on 24 May, will be called Managing a New Supply Chain Risk: Trade Facilitation and Enforcement Act. Presenters Gary Jay Kushner andChandri Navarro of Hogan Lovells will present on the newly signed Trade Facilitation and Enforcement Act. The webinar will provide expert insight into the new law; an understanding of the potential for future enforcement; and give advice on how the law could impact the coffee industry. These sessions are free for NCA members and US$119 for non-members. More information can be found at the NCA’s website.
