Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) is aiming to further bring together all parts of the international coffee value chain in the next iteration of the tradeshow, with the introduction of MICE at Night.
For the first time in its history, the 2026 edition of the event will feature extended hours to accommodate café and hospitality venue owners.
Sponsored by creative agency AXIALYN, MICE at Night will see the exhibition floor turned into an industry party that leads into the expo’s official networking events and awards night, all of which will be held over the course of the same evening.
Siobhan Rocks, General Manager Events at Prime Creative Media, says the extended hours will allow key members of the coffee industry even greater access to the show.
“Although MICE typically runs across three action-filled days at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), we have found café owners and operators can sometimes struggle to engage with the show as it falls during peak business times,” says Rocks.
“At MICE2026, we want to enable even more people in the coffee industry to be able to take part in this unique event. We also know how hard barista, managers, and café owners work, so MICE by Night will be an opportunity for them to let off steam while they network.”
After a record-breaking 31,000 people walked through the doors of the MCEC at MICE2025, where more than 130 exhibitors put on a thrilling show for attendees, MICE2026 is shaping up to be another can’t-miss event for the Australian and New Zealand coffee sector – and beyond.
“We’re really excited for the new additions to the show that are planned for MICE2026,” Rocks says.
“The success of MICE2025 is still fresh in our minds, and we’re keen to take what we saw was popular earlier this year and make it even better by adding new and exciting ideas like MICE at Night.
“It was important for us to listen to our audience and create MICE at Night to allow café owners to access MICE at the same capacity as the rest of our visitors. It will not only extend the audience for our exhibitors but also ensure café owners can also get the most out of the event.”
