The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has revealed Belgium will host its first ever World of Coffee event in 2026, with World of Coffee Brussels to be held at the Brussels Expo between 25 and 27 June 2026.
Brussels, which is often considered to be the de facto capital of the European Union, is a world centre for international diplomacy and is reachable not only by direct flights from more than 200 international destinations but also by high-speed rail from other major European hubs.
World of Coffee Brussels will be one of multiple World of Coffee events held around the world in 2026.
Specialty Coffee Association CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos says the reachability of the city makes it the perfect site for an internationally focused event like World of Coffee.
“Brussels offers an exceptional platform for international business and industry exchange. Hosting World of Coffee at this globally connected city strengthens our ability to support trade, foster collaboration, and deliver value to professionals across the value chain – all in service of our purpose to make coffee better for everyone,” Apostolopoulos says.
The SCA also says the “deep-rooted café tradition and growing specialty coffee scene” in Belgium positions it as a fitting host country for the international coffee event.
BWT water+more will continue its longstanding collaboration with the SCA and has been named the Official Event Host Sponsor.
General Manager of BWT water+more Dr Frank Neuhausen says the continued partnership shows the company’s desire to continue to provide strong solutions for the coffee industry.
“As Event Host Sponsor for World of Coffee 2026 in Brussels, we proudly continue our support for the Specialty Coffee Association and all people working within the coffee industry,” Dr Neuhausen says.
“We will once again provide the best water on site for all exhibitors and look forward to meeting partners from across the coffee chain.”
The SCA is now accepting booth applications from prospective exhibitors for World of Coffee Brussels.
World of Coffee Geneva will take place from 26 to 28 June 2025 and is set to feature more than 13,000 visitors from 150 countries, in addition to more than 430 exhibiting companies and 120 roasters.
