Italian process machinery manufacturer Opem is continuing its expansion beyond Europe, with the announcement that it will set up an office in Brazil. Following on from its establishment of an office in the USA, Opem has now shifted its focus to the world’s largest coffee-producing nation as its next territory for expansion. Opem plans to carry out some production activity in the South American nation, the company said in a statement. “The idea is to start up marketing activities as well as partial production of the systems in Opem Brazil, while keeping control of all activities at the company headquarters in Parma,” the statement said.
