Coffee roasting machine and plant specialist Probat has opened a new office in Cebu, in a new joint venture between Probat-Werke and NMN Global. Probat-Asia started its operations in January 2012, in Cebu City on the isle of Cebu in central Philippines. From the new location, Probat-Asia plans to carry out service jobs, commissioning jobs as well as corresponding project management for the Southeast Asian region. The company is managed by a skilled senior engineer with years of experience in the coffee industry in the international environment, and a German service expert who will focus on commissioning to supplement the range of services. The team will be supported by technicians from NMN Global who specialises in instant coffee production with employees offering years of expert knowledge. “Asia – and especially Southeast Asia – has developed to be one of the most important markets for Probat,” says Rainer van der Beek, Director Sales & Marketing at Probat. “We want to offer our customers in this region the best possible service with short reaction times. From our point of view the combination of experienced Probat staff and qualified local technicians is ideal to meet this demand.” In addition to these support services, the new location will warehouse spare parts to help reduce delivery times to regional customers. The new office is located on the second floor of the Robinland Business Centre, Mandaue City, Cebu. Mark Selisana, General Manager Probat Asia, can be reached by phone +63 32 520 5902 or email mark.selisana@nmnglobal.com.
