Probat has fully booked the first day of its Connecting Markets symposium, taking place from 19 to 20 September. At the event, leaders and executives of the international coffee industry will come together at Probat's headquarters in Germany to share their knowledge with each other. “For one and a half centuries and four generations, we have stood for future-proof coffee solutions and shipped them from Emmerich out into the world,” says Wim Abbing, CEO of Probat. “Since the day of our founding 150 years ago, we have combined two major things as a technology leader: a great enthusiasm for coffee and a fascination with long-lasting, innovative machines. This combination has resulted in products and services that shape the market and make us a reliable partner to our customers around the world.” The first day of the symposium will focus on specialty coffee while the second is industry themed. Guest speakers include Scott Rao, author of The Professional Barista's Handbook; Tim Wendelboe, Owner of Tim Wendelboe coffee roaster, espresso bar and coffee schoo; and Ric Rhinehart, Executive Director of the Specialty Coffee Association. Probat will also host an open house on 22 September and its Encafé reception in Punta del Este with its Brazilian subsidiary on 25 November.
