Quality Espresso has run a workshop on coffee preparation, latte art and the use of the company's espresso machines for twenty pupils of Santa Maria del Pilar School in Zaragoza, Spain. Quality Espresso’s Head of Training Rubén Sanz carried out the demonstration, which was undertaken following the school’s request to explain the barista profession to its young pupils. “It's fun because it forces you to talk with a different language and answer questions that make you feel out of place,” said Sanz, in a statement. Usually reserved for professional customers, baristas and business managers, the activity is part of a training program conducted every year by Quality Espresso. According to the statement, the children showed great interest in everything that surrounds coffee culture, including the barista. Given the result of the experience the initiative could be repeated in the future.
