The fourth edition of International Coffee Tasting will be held in Brescia, Italy from 29 to 30 October 2012. The annual International Coffee Tasting event is the largest competition between coffees in the world. The competition accepts coffee in all different styles, from espresso beans to capsules, pods to filter coffee. Each company participating to the competition will receive its ranking and the sensory profile of its own product. The winners will be entitled to use the official logo of the competition on the winning products. The commissions of the International Institute of Coffee Tasters is a scientific and independent association that concentrates exclusively on the sensory analysis of the coffee. The group will meet in Brescia to evaluate the coffee samples. International Coffee Tasting 2012 is open to coffee roasters from all around the world. Coffee roasters can submit their applications by 31 August. The International Institute of Coffee Tasters is a non-profit organisation. It was founded in 1993 with the aim of developing and spreading a scientific method for coffee tasting. From its birth, it has taught hundreds of courses (more than 8000 professionals and coffee lovers from all over the world have participated to the courses). The book Espresso Italiano Tasting is available in in Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Chinee, Korean, Thai. The scientific committee of the International Institute of Coffee Tasters is made of university professors and coffee professionals.
