Registration is now open for the 2023 Specialty Coffee Expo and Re:co Symposium, set to take place in Portland, Oregon from April 19 to 23, 2023.
The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCA) Expo is the largest gathering of specialty coffee professionals in North America and will feature the latest industry products, exciting trends, and exclusive access to new companies in the coffee industry.
The Re:co Symposium, which precedes the Expo, will focus on addressing pressing topics facing the coffee industry today, with expert speakers, sensory experiences, live discussions, networking, and engagement opportunities.
This year’s Expo will feature more than 450 exhibitors showcasing their most innovative products and services. Visitors will have the opportunity to network with professionals from across the industry, including roasters, retailers, producers, importers, and baristas.
The Green Coffee Buyers and Sellers Program will also return for its second year, facilitating business relationships for the purchase and sale of green coffee. Additionally, the Cupping Exchange will provide visitors with the chance to sample coffees from a variety of regions, while the Roaster Village will be a bustling meeting point on the show floor for visitors to talk to small roasters and boutique green coffee importers.
The Expo will also feature a variety of educational opportunities, including lectures by industry experts and workshops covering a wide array of topics of interest to coffee professionals.
The Expo will feature the Best New Product Competition and the Coffee Design Awards. The Best New Product Competition recognises the latest innovations in the specialty coffee industry. Submissions are open to 2023 Specialty Coffee Expo exhibitors from 17 January to 17March, 2023. The Coffee Design Awards celebrate innovation in design in four categories: coffee spaces, branding, packaging, and vessels. All submissions will be placed on permanent display on the Design in Coffee platform.
The United States Coffee Championships will also take place during the Expo, featuring the United States Barista Championship, the United States Brewers Cup, the United States Cup Tasters Championship, and the United States Latte Art Championship. All championships will feature competitors from across the United States vying for the title of national champion.
