Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has invited guests to an engaging discussion on doughnuts and coffee later this month. The discussion will take place 17 August at 8am PDT, 11am EDT, 4pm GMT.
The association has shared early insight to better understand the overlap of this approach in the specialty coffee sector, as explored in the recent SCA News Article Coffee and a Doughnut: Understanding “Circular Economy” Frameworks. The SCA continues to use and learn from the “Doughnut Design for Business” and plans to apply it to future learning opportunities.
The Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) is part of a global movement of new approaches to economic thinking and doing. Aiming to help create 21st century economies that are regenerative and cyclical by design, DEAL strives to meet the needs of all people. This approach is better known as: Doughnut Economics.
To explore the concept, SCA Sustainability Director Andrés Montenegro will host a conversation with the DEAL Business and Enterprise Lead Erinch Sahan to gain his perspective about the tools and approaches that DEAL is championing for the redesign of businesses and its potential in the coffee realm.
Registration for the event is available online at the SCA website.
