Heather Perry of Klatch Coffee has been chosen as the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s (SCAA) second Vice-President in its 2015 – 2016 Board of Directors election. Perry is the Director of Training and Consulting at Klatch Coffee. She is a graduate from Cal Poly Pomona University in California where she earned a degree in International Business and Marketing. “We are honored and grateful that these coffee professionals have dedicated their volunteer time and talent to the leadership of the association,” said the SCAA, in a statement. “We look forward to another great year, filled with new challenges and achievements for the specialty coffee community.” Guy Burdett of InterAmerican Coffee has been elected to SCAA Secretary/Treasurer. Burdett is the President and CEO of InterAmerican Coffee. He joined the company in 1988 after earning a degree in finance from Texas Tech University. Colleen Anunu, an Independent Consultant, has been elected to SCAA Director. Anunu’s previous positions include retail, wholesale, roasting and quality control. She is completing a master’s degree in International Agriculture and Rural Development at Cornell University in New York. Skip Finley of Dalla Corte Espresso Coffee Systems North America (NA) has been elected as an SCAA Director. Finley is the Technical Director/Partner at Dalla Corte Espresso Coffee Systems NA. He has been an educator in water quality for more than 10 years. Andrew Hetzel of Café Makers has also been elected as an SCAA Director. Hetzel is an industry consultant from Hawaii. He leads Q certificate courses for the Coffee Quality Institute and private businesses worldwide.
