American coffee chain Scooter’s Coffee has appointed Ric Smith as the company’s new Senior Vice President of Development. Smith will lead the franchise’s sales, real estate, and construction sectors, aiming for rapid organisation growth and success.
Having previously worked for Starbucks Coffee in a range of development team leadership roles, Smith has opened 350 Starbucks stores across six states. He has also worked at Qdoba Mexican Grill where he led national business growth and implemented franchise growing strategies, introducing 650 chains across 42 states.
Smith has also worked at national tutoring chain C2 Education and has experience leading all areas of store development, including strategic planning and site selection, legal and lease management, and construction and facility selection.
As a previous president and CEO of Credit Union Liquidity Services, Smith has additionally managed a daily portfolio of US$250 million encompassing various financial institutions.
This knowledge is expected to help Smith meet Scooter’s Company’s growth goals and provide innovative ideas for customers to get “amazing drinks, amazingly fast.” According to a statement released by the company, Scooter’s Company has continued to grow rapidly and will continue to strive to provide best drive through customer service.
