Second Cup has announced that Rael Merson has resigned as a director of the company. Mr Merson has resigned due to personal reasons relating to his relocation outside of Canada. He has been a key contributor to Second Cup since he joined the Board of Directors in December 2013, specifically as Chair of the Audit Committee. “Second Cup is an iconic Canadian brand, and I'm proud to have served on its board and as the Chair of its Audit Committee,” Mr Merson said. “We are all pleased with the Company's significant improvements in profitability and I have great confidence in Second Cup's future under the leadership of our management team.” Second Cup Chairman Michael Bregman thanked Mr Merson for his valuable contributions to the company. “He has been an exceptional colleague on the Board and we wish him every success in his future endeavours,” Mr Bregman said.
