Canada's Second Cup is launching single-serve coffee capsules for supermarkets and cafés across Canada. “At Second Cup, our commitment to quality means delivering the best coffees the world has to offer,” said Alix Box, Second Cup President and Chief Executive Officer, in a statement. “With the launch of Second Cup coffee in RealCup single-serve capsules, we are proud to offer Canadians more ways to enjoy our high quality coffee in the comfort of their homes.” The capsules are compatible with Keurig K-Cup brewing systems and will include Paradiso medium and Paradiso dark roast coffees, which are both 100 per cent Rainforest Alliance Certified. According to the statement, Paradiso medium roast coffee is Second Cup's signature blend. It is medium-bodied and fruity with a hint of sweetness. Paradiso dark roast coffee is a deep and rich blend, with a smoky flavour and hint of cocoa. Second Cup's partnership with Kraft Canada has assisted in making Second Cup’s products available for consumers through the grocery retail channel.
