Seven countries from around the world have been announced to attend the sixth Mumbai World Tea Coffee Expo (WTCE) 2018 in India from 29 November to 1 December. The WTCE says organisations from Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Nepal will attend the expo, to be held at the Nehru Centre in India. WTCE is one of South Asia’s largest dedicated annual business gatherings of the tea, coffee and related industries. Sentinel Exhibitions Asia says the expo offers huge potential for appointing distributors, bulk deals, joint ventures, franchising, networking, meeting government officials, marketing alliances and overall branding.
WTCE expects more than 70 exhibitors from seven countries, including government pavilions, and an anticipated 4000 plus trade visitors from across the world to attend the event.
“In India, a number of tea and coffee estate owners are in the process of launching their own brands for which they seek latest technology, machinery and packaging. For such players to survive – and thrive – they need to adapt innovative technology, quality services and diligence of international vendors,” says Priti M. Kapadia, Director of WTCE organiser Sentinel Exhibitions Asia. The 2018 edition will feature exhibitors from fields including coffee and tea brands and products, machinery, new technology, ingredients, sugar and sweeteners, vending solutions, packaging, and certifications. The WTCE will also see speakers from India and abroad leading a two-day conference. Workshops on tea tasting, sommelier and barista skills will be held on the last day of the expo. Entry to the expo, conferences and workshops is free.
