The Shanghai International Hospitality Equipment and Supply Expo has posted record-breaking attendance and exhibitor figures for 2013. The event hosted more than 1500 exhibitors – an increase of 30 per cent from the previous year. More than 70,000 visitors took in demos and exhibits from all aspects of the food and hospitality industries. The Expo was also the host of the 2013 China Barista Championships, which was won by Wu Yalian of the city of Xiamen. Ms Wu will now represent China at the World Barista Championships being held in Melbourne in May.
