Now in its 7th year, the awards recognise and promote company and individual excellence within the European coffee and food–to-go sector. Senior industry professionals will vote to decide the Best Coffee Chain winners from five different regions of Europe. McCafé is nominated for the award in three separate regions and Costa Coffee is nominated again after receiving three regional awards last year. Nominations are still open for the other European Coffee Award categories, which include Best Independent Coffee Shop, Most Ethical Brand, Best Coffee Roaster, Best Coffee Equipment Supplier, Best Food Supplier, Best Non-Coffee Supplier, Outstanding contribution to the European Coffee Industry, and Lifetime Achievement Award. The award winners will be honoured during a black tie gala dinner and ceremony on 25 November at The InterContinental, in Istanbul. It is expected that over 400 senior executives from across the coffee and food-to-go sectors will gather for the event.
