Steam CC has created a machine that prints coffee images on coffee froth. The Ripple Maker uses tiny coffee bean drops to create a contrast colour on top of milk foam without affecting the taste. Launched at CE Week, a three-day technology conference on in New York this week, the Ripple Maker system is made up of the printing machine, a website and an app. The app comes preloaded with a variety of printable coffee content including images and quotes. Through the website, ripple owners can customise the images and create their own. “Since you know your customers best, creating your own ripples is a great way to give them a personal experience and gain their loyalty,” said the Ripple Maker. Using the ripple app, customers can also connect to the machine while waiting for their coffee, to create personalised ripples with images from their phone or from facebook. Steam CC is a privately held, venture-backed company based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
